Main Salmon 2025

Yet another year not being awarded a permit. But that didn’t prevent us from getting on the river quite a few times this summer. Initially we made plans with the Nalders to run the Lower Salmon. Then a friend of Jarretts reached out and invited us to join his dad’s permit for the Main. Now, I love doing the Lower. But the Main is better. I think. So we swapped plans after making sure the new crew was okay with us basically taking over the trip. Teenagers and personalities and all… All in all it was a great trip. Because how else could it be?

The only down trod on the trip was my pride and psyche… I hit a rock two rapids in a row and man if it didn’t throw me for a loop for the next few days. Just felt bad about it. I shouldn’t – everyone makes mistakes now and then but well, pride and shit.
